CHEEZO THE CLOWN

Eric Persson joined Clowns of America in 1974. He put on clown make-up for the first time that year and became Cheezo the clown. He built his character around a Swiss cheese tie that his wife Rie (owner of Clown Supplies, Inc) had made for him. Working as an auto body repairman full time, and birthday party clown part time, only lasted four years. Then clowning became his only profession.

From 1978 to 1991, Eric earned his living as a clown. He has taught clowning and juggling at colleges, schools and clown conventions around the New England states.

He has won numerous trophies and awards. He is Past President of the Greater Boston Clowns of America Alley 54 of Salem, MA. Eric has authored books on balloon sculpting, birthday parties, and makeup application.

Cheezo is also the inventor of the portable electric inflator. You can see the complete line of his inflators in the Clown Supplies Inc Catalog.
