Jim Luscotoff from Andover was a guest.
Show & Tell: Jim Brier showed how to use snow powder to make a snowman, and how to pass a piece of metal thru a beer bottle using a magnetic ring. "J" demonstrated a fast Elmo on a stick. Under inflate a white 6” heart or 5” round and divide into two eyeballs. Under inflate a 5” orange and attach to the eyeballs to form a nose. Inflate a red 260 with a 2” tail. Twist a 1” bubble. Loop twist a 7” bubble. Repeat this step. Twist the eyes/nose assembly into the 260, about 1” from the second loop twist. Now thread the 260 through the loops and you’re done. Royal later made this into a hat. He started out with almost a standard hat base. He made the loop around the head, but attached the end of the balloon to a point that was not quite opposite the lock twist. He then twisted Elmo into this off-center peak of the hat, and he twisted Elmo’s tail into the rear of the hat. Change the colors, and you change the character: Blue 260 and red nose = Grover
Green = Kermit. Draw those funny eyeballs. All Blue = Cookie Monster Orange with pink nose = Zoe
Glenna showed a glitter painting technique she learned at convention. She painted glue on an arm, then sprayed glitter on it. She then brushed the excess away. She did it over a box to contain the glitter. She used a kit she bought from Clownstuff.com. The glue applicator seems to be a lip gloss bottle and applicator. The adhesive is like Jim Howle Restickable Adhesive.
