President’s Message Hi Alley 54! Here we are already into Feb. And the cold is finally here. This month we will be going to the Mandarin Super Buffet on 400 Highland Ave in Salem. It is located right before Wal*Mart. I need a count of people attending, so please e-mail me j-clowncubbard@webtv.net or call me 978-744-1140 before Feb 9th. The cost is $5 for members and $12.95 for guests. Bring your favorite pocket trick/gag/walkaround to share with everyone. All are welcome. As far as church news... the latest is that we will be moving out by June 30, and the new location might not be finished to move into until late fall. This means that we may not be able to have out June meeting, as the church will need to be emptied, and cleaned for the sale of the building. We need to find temp homes for all our "stuff" stored at the church. Cheryl and I have a storage unit that we can share if the alley wants to chip in for part of the rent. Also bring your ideas to the meal on what we might be able to do for the 6 months or so we may not have a location to meet. The church has told me that we will be welcome to move back in as soon as they are ready, so we will still have a place to meet!!! The new location on Lafayette St need lots of fixing up before we can move in. If the church has any work days to clean the old building and fix up the new place, I will try to let you all know so that you can show your appreciation, and come and help, to thank them for the meeting space they provide at such a low cost to us! Secretary’s Report Alley 54 Meeting 1/9/07 Meeting was brought to order by Pres.J at 7:30pm. Since the new secretary was absent, the old ...er...former secretary was appointed to take the notes. Secretary's Report - was accepted as written in the newsletter. Treasurer's Report - was given by J. Old Business: none. New Business - Alley report is due. Dues are due. The website will change accordingly in March. Date set for Clown Day - Aug 4th. J & Juju are boss clowns. There was a discussion about a meeting place for months June thru Sept due to the sale of the church. J found a box of stuff from Suzanne which is many years old with $156.50 in it. There was an interest in a magic club exchange. Sunshine - Claire's husband is in the hospital. Jean broke her nose in a fall. It was also noted that she is now 5 years cancer free! Charlie Sable is now up to a tablespoon of food. Our thoughts go out to all above as well as to BB and Leslie. Show & Tell - Royal talked about Twist & Shout coming up soon with a "decathalon with balloons". Rie showed a lengthy printout that she accidently made of www.clownalley.net.
